Budget Restaurants at Virginia Beach

Sometimes fancy restaurants and gourmet meals aren’t the right fit for you. Luckily, if you’re looking for a good meal without hitting up a chain restaurant, Virginia Beach has you covered. Here are some of our top picks.

Doc Taylor’s. Located right on the Oceanfront, Doc Taylor’s is the go-to place for breakfast the American way. With nearly everything on the menu under ten dollars and breakfast served all day, this is the place for eggs by the dozen and bacon fried up the old-fashioned way. Not to mention, they boast a mean Bloody Mary!

Sakura. When most people think sushi, they think expensive. Sakura disagrees. Serving up delicious, fresh sushi at affordable prices Monday to Saturday, Sakura has been a local favorite for years. They offer both traditional and specialty rolls, as well as a variety of other Japanese dishes, from ramen to fried rice and teriyaki chicken.

Aloha Hawaiian Cafe. Featured in Best BBQ and Trending This Week, Aloha Cafe is famous for its delicious Hawaiian-style BBQ. With most dishes under five dollars and all the ingredients fresh, it’s definitely worth a try, whether you’re looking for some traditional BBQ (ribs!) or hoping to sample some exotic island cuisine. Consider sampling some of their signature ribs!

Jenna’s Cafe. If you’re not a meat-eater, Jenna’s Cafe wins its spot as the cheapest restaurant for vegetarian options. With the majority of their options coming in at around five dollars and all of the ingredients fresh and organic, this cafe has become known as the healthy, vegetarian and vegan-friendly spot for its local customers. All of the ingredients come from local farms as well, so you can chow down with no moral concerns, knowing you’re supporting local family farms and fresh, ethical produce.
